Sarah Wise joined the Workplace Research Centre in October 2006 from Napier University in Edinburgh, UK. An applied researcher since 2000, Sarah has extensive research and policy evaluation experience in work, unemployment and social justice. Sarah’s specialist expertise are in working time and workloads and has acted as an advisor to the National Health Service in Scotland on the design and implementation of work-life balance policies. She has an in-depth knowledge of equalities mainstreaming in workplace practice, the provision of government programmes and union bargaining. She has also worked on a number of projects examining the supply and demand-side barriers to sustained training and employment and cross-agency co-ordination.
