Just launched - the second report from the WRC 5 year study of over 8000 Australian workers. The 2008 Australia at Work - Working Lives: Statistics and Stories report provides the most authoriative data on Australian work life from the workers' perspective. At the time of data collection, the financial crisis was yet to kick in. Yet when workers were asked how they were managing on their household income more said they were finding it difficult to get by or just coping: in 2007 it was 52 per cent and in 2008 it was 56 per cent.
